FIG ülkemizde yapılacak Dünya Kupasını resmi olarak sitesinden duyurdu - 2016-01-12

Four cities have been added as stops on the 2016 FIG World Cup circuit, augmenting the number of World Cup events in Rhythmic and World Challenge Cups in Artistic Gymnastics.

Mersin (TUR) and Szombathely (HUN) will host World Challenge Cups in Artistic Gymnastics, bringing the total number of World Cup events held in the discipline to 13 this year. The Mersin World Cup is scheduled for July 1-3, Szombathely October 7-9.

Lisbon (POR) and Tashkent (UZB) have been accepted as World Cup host cities in Rhythmic Gymnastics. The Lisbon World Cup will take place March 17-20 in Portugal’s capital city, while Tashkent will take its turn to host May 13-15. The addition of the two cities brings the total number of competitions in the Rhythmic World Cup race to an even 10 for 2016.

The four cities were not initially selected to host World Cup events in 2016 but were added by the FIG Executive Committee during its regular meeting in December in Lausanne (SUI) and validated by the Presidential Commission just before the holidays.

The 2016 FIG World Cup Series in Rhythmic Gymnastics gets underway February 26 in Espoo (FIN), while Baku(AZE) has the privilege of leading off the Artistic World Challenge Cup Series with the AGF Trophy February 19-21.
